| This usually forms the backbone
of Croft. At first it appears to have less vigour and complexity
than the Vargellas 2005 but do not be fooled, it blossoms in the
glass with develops an entrancing bouquet of black cherries,
violets, rose petals, blood orange and garrigues. That garrigues
quality infuses the palate, which is full-bodied and muscular, quite
firm tannins with layers of black fruits and a touch of book orange
waving au revoir on the finish. A superb Roeda. Drinking 2015-2035.
Tasted July 2007. |
